  • Keyboard short-cut in data browser

    Hi everybody,

I have been dealing with a really annoying problem for two days now.

In short, I like to use the keyboard short-cut CTRL + Arrow to navigate in my database. For instance: if I want to reach the last lineof my database, it must be CTRL + Arrow Down..

However, since yesterday it seems that the short-cut is different. Instead of reaching the last line with none empty cell, it goes straight to the last line of the whole matrix (35 280 in Stata SE 14)

When I try it in Excel, it behaves normally and goes direct to the last line with value in it.

Does anybody knows how to change the short-cut settings ?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    David

Edit: I am using Stata SE 14.1 on both windows and Mac.. On my Macbook, the short-cut cmd + arrow down still works. But my main computer at the university is running Windows 7

    14. Is my operating system relevant?

Stata runs on Windows, Mac, and Unix platforms. Specify the platform you are using if your question is or may be specific to that platform. For example, "I am using Stata 14.1 on Windows 10".

FWIW, I cannot reproduce your problem. I am also running Stata 14.1 on Windows 7, and the CTRL-arrow keys work properly. Do you have the latest update of your Stata (19 May 2016)?
