linktest note: _hatsq omitted because of collinearity

I ran linktest after a binomial glm and it strangely dropped the squared predictor meaningful to the test:

glm successes i.x, family(binomial totals) link(logit)

output omitted

linktest, family(binomial totals) link(logit)
note: _hatsq omitted because of collinearity

Has anyone had this happen?

Conducting the linktest directly does not appear to have the same issue.

This is solved. Conducting the linktest directly (but correctly) did produce the same result, and should have pointed me to including my covariates in the model before running linktest.
