  • Antecedent and consequence model

Hello, my model includes both antecedent and consequence variables.
    In details,
    1) antecedents: 1) parent capability variables and 2) subsidiary capability variables
    2) subsidiary activity development (i.e. expanding the number of business activities)
    3) outcomes: 1) performance (ordinal) and 2) survival (divested or not)

It is a little bit complex since I aim to examine both the antecedents and outcomes of subsidiary development.
What I can think of now is splitting the model into two parts and do the empirical tests my panel dataset.
    That is,
    1) antecedent-subsidiary activity development: logistic regression (possibility to expand subsidiary activity)
    2) subsidiary activity development -subsidiary performance: xtordinal logit (performance variable is ordinal)
    3) subsidiary activity development-subsidiary failure: cox model

I wonder whether these empirics above are appropriate to test both antecedents and consequences.
But it seems that splitting a model into two is not ideal, so any recommentation for my empirical testing will be grateful.
    Thank you.
