Varying bar widths in bar graph

Hello,

I have a bar graph that contains one bar per country, and plots an economic variable. What I need to do now is vary the width of the bars (bins) according to a population variable. So, each bar's width should be representative of the population of the country.

I am having a hard time figuring out the code to create this varying width.
