I don't think anybody on this list can read minds, not even Stata's mind. Copy from Stata's Results Window directly into a code block (see FAQ for how) in the Forum editor showing us the command(s) leading up to the error message and Stata's responses (including the error message) so we can see what happened. There are several things that could have led to this message, and without more information, it is impossible to respond.

Generically, that kind of message means that you do not have the necessary access privileges to files in that directory. But just what kind of access privileges you might need, and what Stata was trying to do there that required access privileges we can only tell if we see what happened.

Are you logged in as "Admin"? Stata is trying to write to the admin private temp directory. Does that directory even exist? That isn't the usual place for Stata temporary files, but you can change the default temporary file directory. See the explanation at http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/da...ary-directory/

          Dear statalist,
I have a similar problem as kumarasamy. However, copying content from Stata's Results Window - as proposed - will not provide any information since the following error message appears in a pop-up window if I try to execute ANY command from ANY Do-File: "Access to c:\Users\Admin\Appdata\Local\Temp\STD00000000.tmp was denied".
          I would appreciate any help.
          Thank you,
          Georg Lorenz
