How can one arrange data in stata9 if comparing cases and controls with genotypes? Smoking variable will be coded 1 or 0 acc to exposure (for present and absent) or 2,1,0 according to genotypic distribution?

          Hello Erica,

          Welcome to the Forum.

Hidden collinearity and perfect prediction are important problems when performing regression models.

When it comes to logistic regression, here (http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/st...ic-regression/) you may read about the issue as well as how to cope with it.

          Hopefully that helps.

          Best,

          Marcos

Example 1 in Stata 9 manual under -logistic- entry (page 63) may be helpful.
