Can anyone tell me if there is a way to do a poisson lognormal model in Stata?
This has typically been used to measure species abundance data.
The model is a "compound distribution" in which count for each species follows a poisson distrbution and the mean is drawn from a lognormal.
There is a package in R called poilog but I'd like to know if Stata has something similar.
