Nick is of course, correct. But beyond what Nick said, what it might be taken to mean is that you might want to divide the value by a number that brings it back into a more interpretable range (e.g. divide by 1,000,000). this will make tables and coefficients a lot easier to manage, depending on the role it plays in your analysis..

I do have a follow-up question which does not really concern what I asked fo the other day. I want to calculate marginal effects in stata. More specifcally, I am interested in evaluating the effect of institutional quality on firm performance. So I was wondering if it is possible to calculate the marginal effect of better institutional quality on firm productivity if the firm has say 50 employees, have been in business for 15 years, are foreign owned, and do export.
