  • Testing assumptions of linear regression with categorical predictor variables

    Hi,

I'm trying to run a multiple linear regression with a continuous outcome variable and several categorical variables.
I'm really struggling to find answers on how to test the assumptions of a linear model in STATA when your predictor variables are not continuous and under the SVY command. Specifically, the assumptions to test are:
    • A linear relationship between the dependent and independent variables
    • independence of observations
    • homoscedasticity
    • normal distribution of residuals
Also, I'm getting this Note: missing standard errors because of stratum with single sampling unit. when I try to run a rAny egression and not quite sure how to fix this?

Any help or advice would be fantastic!!

    Cheers,

    Maddie
