Hello, I am currently working on a research project focusing on the impact of a legal reform on labor market outcomes, particularly for women. However, I am facing some challenges in determining the most appropriate regression model to use given the structure of my dataset.
My dataset comprises survey responses from individuals collected over a period of 7years. this is the description of my data set: Area sample (areas of 20 dwellings) rotating. Every quarter, 1/6th of the sample is replaced by a sample of the same size. A given dwelling is surveyed 6 consecutive quarters. 36,000 dwellings are surveyed each quarter. Average sampling rate = 1/600. Respondents providing information on various socio-economic variables such as gender, age, marital status, labor market participation, and other relevant factors.
The primary research question I aim to address is: How did the introduction of a legal reform in 2005 affect the labor market participation of women?
Given the structure of my dataset and the nature of my research question, I am uncertain whether my data should be considered as cross-sectional. Additionally, I am seeking guidance on the most suitable regression model to analyze the relationship between the legal reform and labor market outcomes, taking into account the nature of the dataset.
Any insights or recommendations you could provide regarding the appropriate regression model selection and the interpretation of my dataset would be greatly appreciated.
