I have a problem: I am estimating the effect that intimate partner violence has on the decision to work, for which I am using instrumental variables. My instrument is the exposure of adult couples to domestic violence in early childhood. However, I have realized that the instrument is weak since it has a certain direct relationship with the dependent variable. I have been suggested to use monotonous instrumental variables to try to solve my problem. But I have searched and I cannot find the command in stata to make that new estimate. Maybe one of you can help me with the syntax.
Dependent variable: trabaja (Dummy variable)
Endogenous variable: vp_casadas (Dummy variable, receives violence from her partner)
Instrument: antecedentes (dummy variable, was exposed to some kind of violence in his childhood).
