Hi everyone,
The rcall package has been used and discussed often by the community members. Many Stata users might need to do tiny things in R and this package helps to do those actions within Stata, and more importantly, get the numeric results/data/matrices back in Stata as well for further analyses. I am also happy to see several Stata packages have been programmed based on rcall engine to use R packages within Stata packages. These reasons are enough for me to maintain the package and ensure its relevance more than 7 years after its first release. I would like to improve the package a little, address some of the bugs, and more importantly, improve the documentation of the package and provide more examples. I would appreciate it if you give the package a careful read and provide suggestions for the next version. The package is on GitHub and you can post your suggestions here: https://github.com/haghish/rcall/issues. Generally, I think the help files can always be improved! One way you can help, is improving the package documentation on GitHub Wiki. But also, testing the package rigorously and finding potential bugs would also be valuable. As a community package, your help allows me to maintain this software. So I warmly invite you for collaboration and maintenance of the package.
