Hello ,everyone!
In Stevens’s classic paper about poverty dynamics(Climbing Out of Poverty, Falling Back In Measuring the Persistence of Poverty Over Multiple Spells, https://www.ophi.org.uk/wp-content/u....),Stevens assumed that different spells periods are related, and used a method suggested by Heckman and Singer(1984) to estimate hazard rate model. Devicienti’s paper (2011,Estimating poverty persistence in Britain, https://link.springer.com/content/pd...0-2.pdf)used a similar method.
I tried the hshaz command, but I can't get the result of spell out of poverty and spell in poverty at the same time. I can only get one result of spell out of poverty or spell in poverty separately . I feel very confused. I also read some information about survival analysis, but I still can't find a way. Does anyone know how this is done? Is there any information about the specific calculation method?
