Good afternoon dear colleagues,
I am trying to make a hexagonal map like the one Dr. Asjad made for my country Mexico. I have understood most of the code but I am stuck in the part to make the geography of my country. Entering Michael Stepner's page (https://michaelstepner.com/software/ ) he gives us an .ado as an example but I don't understand it. Has anyone made such a map for a country that is not Canada or the United States to know how he introduced his geographic data to make the map?
I found one just as I want to make it but it is made in r (https://www.diegovalle.net/mxmaps/).
I also found one that was made for Ireland but I am not clear on some of the lines of the ado that I am modifying (Eirtile: hexagonal tile grid map for Irish counties in Stata – Enda Patrick Hargaden)
It would be a great help if someone could explain me what I have to do in .ado regardless of the country.
Greetings!!!
