Penn State LCA Plugin for Mac

I'm trying to conduct an LCA using Stata 18. I've found the Stata gsem approach to be rather challenging and am aware of the Penn State LCA approach which seems to be much more user friendly and interpretable. There is a LCA plug in written for Stata for Windows. I am using Stata on a Mac. Has anyone adopted this plug in for Stata, or would I be better off temporarily borrowing a Windows computer? Or, has anyone compared the Penn State approach to the gsem approach in Stata 18?
