I'm running a ppml gravity estimation with trade flows between exporter and importer in USD as dependent variable and several explanatory variables such as log(distance), contiguity, wto_memvership in STATA. I include exporter and importer fixed effects.
The goal of my work is to come up wth trade cost (tarif equivalent) for each country.
Does anyone know how one can derive some kind of cost or cost supplement on trade based on a ppml gravity estimation?
That would be very helpful.
