  • Conducting Age-Period-Cohort analysis using Deaton-Paxson normalization (1994)

    Dear all,

I am trying to conduct an Age-Period-Cohort (APC) analysis using Deaton-Paxson normalization with MICS survey data, but since I'm new to the Stata, I'm struggling a lot. I am trying to redo Deaton & Paxson (1994) and Le Nestour, Moscoviz & Sandefur (2021). I have tried to use the "apc" command in order to do that, however, it didn't help me since the survey that I'm using has unequal intervals between them. I have to do every step by myself. I was hoping someone could give me advice on the steps detailed below (specifically how to do that regression):

Where a is the age of an individual interviewed in survey n and born in cohort b and Gib being the number of completed years of primary schooling. Liban is the literacy level

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Best
