I have a question regarding the interpretation of the variable created from using predict varlist, rowscore after running Multiple Correspondence Analysis in STATA 14. I have no prior experience using MCA and my question is similar to this: https://www.stata.com/statalist/arch.../msg00853.html , but I found that there is no response regarding that question.
So, quoting from Stoebenau, my question is:
"Are the values generated from predicted P1 rowscores equivalent to summing coordinate weights across the matrix of variables included in the MCA?"
I'm trying to replicate a research paper where the author used the category weights from the first dimension of MCA, but I'm struggling to understand the predicted result in STATA since rowscore produces coordinate scores.
