  • execute from top doesn't work

    Dear all,

in the do file editor, the "tools / execute (do) from top" command doesn't work. I click on it, but nothing happens. All the other execute commands work. Any clue? Also: is there an undocumented shortcut to that?

Seems to work fine on my installation. I'm on Stata/MP 17 for Mac (macOS 13.0). On the Mac, the keyboard shortcut is Shift+Ctrl+Cmd+D.

      Thanks Hemanshu,

I'm on Windows. It's working for a colleague - but my version is up to date and I have no idea really of what can be wrong with my installation.

Is the Graph Editor open? Typically, Stata won't let you do anything else while the Graph Editor is open,

Silly mistake: I was not selecting the row at which I want the execution to stop. I though having the cursor there would suffice but no, row must be selected. The only reference I found in the manual speaks vaguely of "current line".
