Dear Colleagues,
Thanks to Kid Baum, an update to tmpm.ado is now available on SSC. The command computes the probability of death “pDeath” for patients in the user’s dataset if their anatomic injuries are coded in the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) or the International Classification of Diseases, 9th or 10th Revisions, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM or ICD-10-CM) lexicons There are several updates and improvements in tmpm2. These include updated Model Averaged Regression Coefficient (MARC) values and prediction equation coefficients estimated empirically from approximately 490,000 patients with 2.71% mortality and 5,643 unique ICD-10-CM codes. The ICD-10-CM functionality in the original tmpm.ado relied upon MARC values and coefficients mapped from ICD-9-CM codes. Additionally, the MARC values and coefficients for use with the AIS lexicon have been updated to accommodate AIS ’05, Update ’08 codes. The MARC values and prediction equation coefficients for the ICD-9-CM lexicon are unchanged from the original version of tmpm.ado. The command line has been updated to be more consistent with other Stata syntax.
