  • Stuck in coding for multiple regression and count

    Hi. I have a DGP y = B0 + B1X1 + B2X2 + u
    Observation number = 500
    Number of simulations = 10000

I need to find how to gen y, x1, x2, and u for each simulation
estimate B0, B1, and B2 for each simulation and store them
Calculate the 95% confidence interval for each B0, B1, and B2
and finally find the percentage of times whether the true values of B0, B1, and B2, which are given, are within the confidence interval or not for each simulation

Anyone, please help me out with this.

Rezwan, is this an assignment you have been asked to complete?

Hi. yes, it is econometrics homework. I am still learning stata. I thought the teacher asked for monte carlo simulation, which I did but it was not right. I am trying to find the codes that can help me run this regression as well as learn the program as I go on.

I'm sorry, asking for solutions to homework assignments is not an ethical use of this forum. See Statalist FAQ.

Brother. I am not asking for a solution to the entire homework. I need to learn how to code using this small assignment. How else would I learn stata? If I needed the solutions, I would have just copied and pasted the questions that I need, which I don't. If you don't want to guide me through it, move on.

You need to approach your professor, teaching assistant(s) etc at your educational institution. They are in the best position to decide how much help is appropriate on your assignment, and how much is not. Please do not use this forum for homework help. In addition, it should go without saying, your case is unlikely to be furthered by being impolite.

For someone holding a good position, you should know the difference between being polite and impolite.

like I said, if you do not want to guide me through it, you can move on. I am not expecting your help either way

I support the view of Hemanshu Kumar here. Hemanshu is not only a respected and extremely helpful member of Statalist but also just drawing attention to Statalist policy.

There is nothing at all impolite in Hemanshu's explaining that patiently. See especially #4 of https://www.statalist.org/forums/help#adviceextras

Rezwan Ratul Sorry if you find Statalist policy surprising or disappointing, but it is explicit in material you were asked to read before posting.
