Distinct command no longer recognized

I recently got a new MacBook Pro, downloaded and installed Stata 17.0, have ensured all of my updates are installed and have been using the software; however, the command "distinct" that used to work now returns the error r(199); "command distinct is unrecognized." My coworkers are able to use my .do files and can execute the "distinct" command successfully. Typing "help distinct" in the command box returns "help for distinct not found." Does anyone have thoughts on how to solve this. TIA.

Since -distinct- is a community-contributed module, have you already tried to re-install it?
