mitigate against the potential problem of life-cycle effects

My independent variable is personality traits. However, information of personality traits are available only in the last year, so personality traits are time invariant. In order to mitigate against the potential problem of life cycle effects influencing personality traits , I have to condition each personality trait Tj on a polynomial in age A, i.e. Tj = hjA + ej. The resulting residuals are standardised and used as indicators of personality net of life cycle influences. What commands should I use? I couldn't be more appreciate if you can give me details.
