  • Separating epiweeks with corresponding years

    Good day all

I was wondering if you could please help. I have a data set with years 2020 and 2021. I am trying to separate the 2020 epiweeks from the 2021 epiweeks. I have tried epiweek2, however it does not give me what I want (it converts 2021 epiweeks to 2021.w.).

    Thank you in advance.

Use -dataex- to show a sample of your data, and explain what is the result that you want to achieve.

      Good day

There are two years, 2020 and 2021. I want to separate the epidemiologic weeks from 2020 and 2021. The year 2020 must have its own epidemiologic weeks and the year 2021 must have its own corresponding epidemiologic weeks. e.g. 2020 epidemiologic weeks go up to week 53 then 2020 epidemiologic weeks are complete, following this, epidemiologic weeks for 2021 should reflect. This is what I want but I am not getting it right. Please see the attached. Thank you in advance.

Joro Kolev gave good advice in #2. Please see https://www.statalist.org/forums/help#stata for why #3 doesn't meet what is requested.

Thank you. This challenge is solved! Epiweek2 and the setup was the problem.
