Why does Stata 16 crash every time I close a do-file??

Stata experts,

Can anyone help me figure out why stata 16 crashes every time I close a do-file? It is driving me crazy. I saw something on-line about this happening after an update that was supposed to have been corrected by stata 16.

Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
