  • Non Parametric regression analysis

    Dear All,

I am Maheswaran Kesavan doing masters in University college London.

I am doing an Non parametric series regression using B spline basis.
Now I want to know 1) Where the knot lies in my data.
    2) How to incorporate a knot at a specific point of my choice.
    3) How to plot the curve for Non parametric series regression.
    4) What is the minimum number of data points we can use in Non parametric regression models (mine is 100)

    Thank you in advance.

Welcome to statalist. You didn't get a quick answer. You will increase your chances of useful answer by following the FAQ on asking questions-provide Stata code in code delimiters, readable Stata output, and sample data using dataex.

We don't even know what specific procedure you use to estimate a non-parametric regression. Without knowing what you've used estimate something, it's hard to help you.

Since I don't do nonparametric regression, I can't help you with the substance of your question.

I suggest you start over and post following the FAQ on asking questions.
