no room to add more variables

Hi, I am using PSID data set. I believe it is a very large data set. Stata tells me:

no room to add more variables
Up to 2,048 variables are allowed with this version of Stata. Versions are
available that allow up to 120,000 variables.

What should I do?

Maybe upgrade?

In the meantime, you can load a subset of variables. See help use.
