I am calculating summary statistics for a variable that is the mean of a response of a binary survey variable across a certain geographical entity. For variables that are from the survey only, I use the survey sampling weights. For variables that are specific to the geographical entity (a 50x50 km grid), I weight by the grid's population. For this particular variable, which weight is most appropriate?
