Hi all
New stata user and loving it. Slightly aging medic trying to do a meta-analysis on my area of interest. Its very simple just rate of infection from the literature in my area rather than odds ratio for an intervention.
However I am really struggling with getting stata to do a funnel plot. I have a list of infection rates and CI 95% +_ but i cannot get the Exp(theta) drop down box option to work. I expect I am missing something very basic to do with what Exp(theta) means. I did a log of the infection rate for each study and that failed as well.
I have resorted to a basic scatterplot numbers in study y versus x infection rate which will do but am concerned that if i come across a reviewer who wants a 'proper' funnel plot with the lines drawn in i will be struggling.
Perhaps Chuck could do one of his calming videos on meta commands?
Anyway any comments would be much appreciated.
