  • Random Slope in Crossed HLM Models

    Hi,

    Let's assume that we have an HLM model with three levels of L1 L2 L3. Let's also assume this HLM Model: xtmixed Y X || L1: || L2: ||L3: that is a nested model. We want to reformulate the model in a way that L1 and L2 are crossed, L3 is nested within both L1 and L2, and slope of X on Y is allowed to change across L2. What will the appropriate model for this be? Is the following a correct one:

    xtmixed Y X ||_all:R.L1 || L2: X || L3

    Yes, except that you forgot the final colon ( : ) after L3.
