  • propensity score by "boost" (Matthias Schonlau version) could not load plugin

    Dear all,
I'm using your "boost" command (developed by Matthias Schonlau) to obtain propensity score, but kept having this error "Could not load plugin: /Applications/Stata/ado/base/b/boost64.dll".
    I'm using a Stata/MP 14.0 for Mac (64-bit), and copied the boost.ado, boost.hlp, boost64.dll files to "/Applications/Stata/ado/base/b/". Here is the command:
    . capture program drop boost_plugin
    . program boost_plugin, plugin using("/Applications/Stata/ado/base/b/boost64.dll")
I don't understand why the error kept showing up. After searching a lot on the internet and even trying boost32.dll and boost.dll, revising the directory, unfortunately I didn't find any solution works. Would you kindly help me, please? Thank you very much.

      Dear Marcos,
Many thanks for your kind reply. This is very helpful. I just found out the reason why it didn't work. The boost command currently doesn't work on a Mac, so should try on a window system.
