  • Population attributable risk

    Hey!

    I'm new on Stata and I have a small issue I hope someone can help me with.

    I have tried to calculated the PAR with the punafcc-code and there is coming a result, but I really do not know what this result actually says me. I'm used to get PAR in %, but in this case it come out as a ratio that tells me that PUF = 1.456. How can I turn this ratio to % and get the PAR?

    Code:
    stset t_end, origin(date_birth) enter(time t_begin) id (id) failure(vte==1) scale(365.25)
    stcox SEX MI_obs
    punafcc, eform at (MI_obs=1)
    Hope someone can help me!

    Best wishes Ludvig

    please read the help file for -punafcc-; if you do that you will, among other things, the following: "Note, also, that both kinds of PAF are a different parameter from the population attributable risk (PAR), which can be estimated using the regpar package." so, you should be using the -regpar- package; use -search- to find and download
