  • Compare groups

I need to compare the exposed and control groups regarding age and gender. How would I accomplish this?

  • #2
you don't say anything about what kind of comparison you want but I'm guessing that the following will help:
    Code:
    help ttest
    help tabulate

Thanks you. Please forgive me. I am new to Stata, On the documentation for the data set, it says this: Group 64 1=control group; 2=exposed group. That is all it says about the Group variable.

        Hello Lynn,

As pointed out by Rich, and assuming you group variable is "group", "sex" is your gender variable, and "age" well, you know, you may wish to type something like:

        Code:
        . ttest age, by(group)
        . tabulate group sex, chi2
        Best,

        Marcos
        Best regards,

        Marcos

          Lynn:
as Others pointed you out to, please report more details about your query (posting what you tyoed and what Stata gave you back is the best approach, as suggested by FAQ).
As an aside to previous helpful hints, you may also want to consider -poisson-.
          Kind regards,
          Carlo
