I am trying to find a variation of heckman model in which I could use a categorical variable as dependent variable. I am new to research and to stata, hence I am having a tough time trying to learn how different model work and how can I use them in stata. Any guideline would be extremely appreciated. I have unbalanced panel data with a categorical dependent variable (with three categories) and a rank independent variable (main variable of interest), a binary independent variable (main variable of interest) and six continuous independent variables (control variable). Can any one please provide me with any guideline as to what model can be used to deal with the selection problem as well as endogeniety problem. Thank you in advance.
