  • estab : how to show parameters in decreasing order of magnitude?

    Dear Statalist,

I am estimating a regression with many (but not too many) fixed effects, and I am interested in showing in a table their estimated parameters in decreasing order of magnitude.
The idea being I would like to understand which fixed effect has the strongest impact on my dependent variable.

I see there is an order option in esttab, but this only allows the user to specify manually the ordering. Here, the ordering should be automatic.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks!

    Jean-Luc,

I do not see a easy way to do this automatically with esttab/estout. I probably have to use the order() option. I may create a local which contains the order and then plug it in, but that requires some coding.

    Best regards,
    Sebastian
