  • Can´t perform unit root test even though I have balanced data?

    Hey!

    I´m currently sitting with QoGs data set covering OECD countries.
    This data set is a panel data, yearly data, covering the year 2001-2011, including 33 countries.

    I have enter the command xtset cname1 year. (cname1 is ny id variable)
    Following message comes up:

    . xtset cname1 year
    panel variable: cname1 (strongly balanced)
    time variable: year, 2001 to 2011
    delta: 1 unit

    Further, I wanna test for unit root and command xtunitroot llc tea01
    Following message comes up:

    . xtunitroot llc tea01
    Levin-Lin-Chiu test requires strongly balanced data
    r(498);

    Note that this message comes up with every test except DF.

    What is wrong? I cant trust that I have strongly balanced data?

      The problem with this forum is I can never tell if something is a misplaced post or a test post. If I ever posted here I would probably preface my message by saying "This is just a test."

      But as long as we are here -- Josefine, check out p. 12 of the FAQ and learn how to use code tags. It will make your output more readable.
